Yesterday was a long one. I started my day at the office to do a bit of the work that had piled up. It wasn’t too productive though, but I got one thing done that I had been pushing back.

I had a delicious lunch while I was out walking around. I was very tired after leaving work around noon, but didn’t want to waste any time so took off for a walk. I embraced being a tourist and just wandered through markets, unfortunately forgetting to take photos.

My coworker who has been helping me a lot during my stay took me to an Airbnb she runs to make a fake testimonial video. I was kind of upset because she was an hour and a half late, like usual, and I think my mindset is starting to shift back as my return grows nearer.

I was supposed to meet someone for the World Cup final, but when it came time I didn’t hear anything from him. Again I was very upset by this and is kind of giving me a bitter taste as my time here in Shinyanga closes—one that I would rather leave without. There was an exceptionally drunk man who decided to impose himself upon me throughout the entire match—it was extremely annoying, but seeing him fall down anytime he tried to mount a step was good entertainment to combat the boredom of watching soccer.
I got home around 1:00am from the football game and was swearing to myself that I would never do that again because it has left me so exhausted this morning. Thankfully it should just be a calm office day!
