Yesterday morning I woke up very confused. The previous night I had stayed up too late for my liking and was expecting to wake up feeling out of sorts. However, getting out of bed I felt very motivated and happy. And I didn’t sleep too well either, so the amount of energy I had was unexpected.
With my morning I spent a little time job searching. The process isn’t easy, let me tell you. I think I’ll just ditch all these corporate hopes and dreams to become a full time surf bum—that sounds much more appealing!

At noon I decided it was time to get out and went to find some lunch. No surprise, I got the good ol french fry omelette.

After lunch I went back to the thrift market my friend had taken me to two weeks ago. I wanted to take my time sifting through the shops, actually looking for things to buy rather than just looking around like a tourist. I bought 6 pairs of pants for a total of $20. Unfortunately three of them aren’t the best fit because I didn’t have the chance to try them on, but I’ll still take 3 pairs of pants for $20! I wandered around for a little while just looking at everything being sold. I bought a few gifts and I was really able to practice my bargaining at that point. I feel a little guilty arguing over $1, but I think it’s expected and I’m trying to fit in as best I can.

After the shopping my lack of sleep caught up to me. I went home and took an ill timed nap. I slept for about an hour and woke up at 6:00pm to go get dinner. Beans, rice, veggies, and half a chicken later I was ready to call it a day. I tried to go to sleep at 9:00pm, but I don’t think it was any earlier than midnight before I actually fell asleep. Today I’m going to have to skip a nap no matter how tired I feel so I can get my sleep back on track for the week..
