DAY 76

Yesterday was really productive. Normally busy days fly past, leaving me grasping for hours that don’t exist, but yesterday was generous. I woke up in a good mood and had a premonition it would be a good day because I could see the sun lighting up the sky when I walked out of my room.

It was more of the same. I had a bit of marking, some grade inputting, and other little tasks to do throughout the day. When I look back, there was a lot I needed to get done and I’m glad I found enough time for it all. After lunch Ezekia and I worked with our music kids to escape all of the madness going on at school right now.

So, I mentioned some craziness going on at school—there’s a lot more hustle and bustle than usual these days—and I thought it was just because of the regional exams this week. But no. As my day at school was closing, I had a chat with Pius where he told me that today will be the last day of school for 12 days because they take an Easter holiday. I was shocked because I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do with this time. The hustle is about parent-teacher conferences being held this Saturday and I was informed that I will be responsible for co-hosting an English, Music, and Riveting Results conference.

The rest of my day moved very quickly. I had a meeting with some folks from Water for Good and everything is as figured out as it’s going to get until I actually arrive. At home I wanted to get some chores and website work done, but time flew past—I looked up and it time for bed and I’d barely touched what I aimed to get done.

Today it’s back to the regular downpour. I’m very happy that the sun persisted yesterday, or else I might have been going to school a little underdressed today.
