Friday wasn’t all too shabby. It was an exciting day at school, but I holed up for a majority of the day to get work finished.

We had a full on parade (or assembly) with the school musicians playing their hearts out. A new head boy and head girl were announced for the upcoming year because starting in just a few weeks, graduation activities begin.
Throughout the day there was a whole mix of things going on. In the morning, all classes had one exam ahead of next Mondays full exam day. I think the head teacher is learning (or maybe the new school manager has an effect) because it used to be a day crammed of exams and then the following day would be used to make up missed ones, rather than preceding days used to make comfortable space for all the exams.

After exams it was marking for most teachers (I have an exemption, hehehe) and for students it was a free for all. They were running about the hallways, the dining hall, the yard. Once lunch arrived things settled down for a brief moment because teachers returned back to their normal, strict programming. But after lunch there was yet another absence of teachers while they all gathered for a meeting to go over each and every classes individually progress. I was told (I hope jokingly) to keep an eye on all the kids. Maybe if I had 1,000 eyes I could’ve helped out, but still then it would’ve been difficult.
The meeting lasted the whole rest of the day (and even delayed the bus departure), and during it Ezekia the music teacher held a sort of talent competition with all the classes. They’ve been preparing dances, songs, and a variety of performances for upcoming graduation celebrations, and yesterday served as a sort of rehearsal for that. Unfortunately some acts were axed, but I will say they may have deserved it.

When the teacher meeting concluded and the school day finally ended, it was a struggle getting all the kids settled down and seated in the busses. I think it may have been one of the most rambunctious bus rides—not helped by the fact that the stick wielding teachers left me by my lonesome. But we made it home and I made it for the run.
Last night John came home. I guess the school year is ending right now…? I’m not too sure but the house is filling up and it’s nice to be able to see the whole family before I get on outta here. Anyways, John coming home meant staying up late in waiting. It was fine though because I was able to play some indoors soccer with Jovin, catch up on work and eat lots of pilau.
Today I hope I can find a way to town for some exploring, but I wouldn’t be too mad about just relaxing at home. I slept in until nearly 8:00am today which is pretty unheard of these days for me. I normally feel super tired when I do that, but today it actually worked out nicely (probably because my body needed it).
