DAY 182

Yesterday was much needed. I love the office work, don’t get me wrong, but I think I needed a little trip out to the field.

Wrong Side

It was an impromptu adventure; I was getting settled in for another day in the little office when a coworker asked me if I wanted to go to the field. I said yes without a second thought only to realize I had a morning meeting. In the end it all worked out, but I knew I was going to the field one way or another.

Primary School

It was a really quick outing. We stopped by three schools only to hand off three separate pieces of paper. I was wondering why we had to drive out to do it (the paper is returned via a photo, so I don’t know why the information can’t be collected over the phone as well), but I’m very happy we got to go out there.

Late Walk Home

I got back to the office around noon. Unfortunately I had a lot of things to get and the morning adventure set me back, so I hung around until 7pm. On my walk home the sun had already set. It’s quite strange to have consistent 12 hour days and no seasons—today was one where I wish it had been light until 10pm so I could squeeze in a run.

World’s Most Boring Sport

After getting home I took a leisurely walk to dinner. I’ve learned my lesson with trying to run in the dark and decided against it last night. I watched some world cup stuff after getting home from dinner, and then it was to bed.
