DAY 159

Yesterday was a pretty boring day, but very productive. Even though I didn’t do much that was exciting, it was a good day just based off what I got done.

I only took one photo yesterday—of my breakfast—because I was so busy. I showed up early to work, at 7:30. I was pretty immersed in the report I’ve been working on for the past few weeks. Throughout the day I wasn’t quite sure where the time went—I would look up and find that what I had thought to be half an hour was really two. I was pretty locked in, and it backfired on me when the end of the day came around. My desk mate, who I normally never see leave the office because she is always working later than I, stirred me from my flow state upon her leaving. I was devastated to find I had worked until nearly 6:00pm.

By the time I got home I decided it was too late for me to go running. Instead I turned on a new audiobook and started doing some laundry.

It was nice to slow down but still be doing something productive. Normally when I take a break I just lounge around, but yesterday was a great balance. I’ve been pushing and pushing, trying to see something new everyday and sometimes it can get demanding and overwhelming, so I’m happy I was able to naturally slow down.

Today I’m hoping that I’ll get out of the office a bit early. I want to be able to go running seeing as I haven’t done so for the past 3 days and then have some time left over to go out for dinner. I am still feeling tired and struggling with poor sleep. Im starting to find that my sleep quality is directly related to my physical exertion throughout the day.
