Yesterday was a very calm day. My morning went as usual. I got to work a little late because on my way there I realized I had kept my room key with me, so I turned back around to return it.
At work I spent all day working on a single task. I had to compile a bunch of different data points and progress markers from across all of our systems (outdated and new) to create status update presentations for the seven current programs WFG is implementing. Right as I finished the final slides I was told that I needed to redo it with some new information. Nothing hurts like having to do a task twice. Thankfully I didn’t have much else I was planning on doing at work, so it kept me busy and wasn’t too mentally demanding.

For lunch I had a french fry omelette. This is definitely one of my favorite meals, but I’ve been told that my circumference will rapidly increase if I eat this every day. My normal boxed lunch will have to do for four out of the five days at work I guess.

After work I went for a long run. Unfortunately I now have a pretty sore foot. A blister had been forming on the side of right foot—it popped the other day, but now a new one has formed on the fresh, soft skin underneath and it’s pretty uncomfortable. Hopefully it heals quickly, or at least toughens up, so I can keep my daily running schedule.
After the run I did some duolingo and a load of laundry. I’m getting quicker with the laundry, but it’s still a burden to be handwashing every other day or so. Hopefully I can get in to the habit of doing it every day so it’s real quick and I never have to sit for two or more hours washing a backlog of dirty underwear and socks.
I went to sleep around 9:30pm after reading for a bit. I’d been neglecting that habit, but it felt good to finally have some time to dive back in to my book. Today should be another calm day at work. One of my buddies (who had his toe amputated and has been at home healing) is finally back at work. His job is out in the field, so maybe I’ll start joining him more often—not today though!
