Yesterday was a pretty calm day. I woke up early but took a long time getting out of bed. I did my duolingo for a while, stretched and then finally got moving. Breakfast was especially good yesterday; the hotel had these crepe like things, some eggs, potatoes and some other stuff.

I spent about an hour of my morning doing some laundry. I’m getting quicker with it (or maybe I just had less than usual), but it still feels like such a time suck. I should probably do some more today, just so I’m totally reset on the laundry front, but I don’t know if I feel up for it. After I finished my laundry I spent some time doing some work from the hotel room. The first few days I was here the WiFi was completely unreliable, but I’m glad I can say there haven’t been any problems since I switched rooms. So maybe it turns out the cheaper one is better after all, only minus air conditioning.

For lunch I decided to try a new place. The two boys (no older than 18) running it seemed to have a really good business going. A lot of the places I’ve been for food take super long, or if it’s street food they seem so careless and disinterested—not the story here. The fellas were really hustling and seemed to have a good system going. I got my french fry omelette with some salad and was shocked at only paying $1.00. It was also the best one I’d had.
With the rest of my day I did some job searching and then went on my run. I kind of forgot about the whole rest day aspect of exercising. In the past, when I was going to the gym a lot, I did a lot of research about the optimal schedule and what not, and that led me to have every fourth day off from working out. These days I’ve been running almost every day and I’ve been very sore, especially my legs. I never really connected the dots. But after my run yesterday my feet were blistered, my hips felt stiff and I was probably a sore sight. I decided then that maybe I need to start taking at least one or two days off a week.
Anyways, after my run it was pretty late and I went straight to showering and then to bed. I haven’t been leaving myself with much time to read these days, but I’ve been plugging in to an audiobook whenever I get the chance so I guess it’s an okay trade off. Today I’m not sure what I’ll be doing. I decided to sleep in and skip the whole church thing. I think after everyone else gets out of church I’ll be going over to a friend’s place for lunch. We’ll see though.
