Yesterday was a calm day. In the morning I found myself with no alarm set. Thankfully I woke up naturally at half past six, but even if I hadn’t I wasn’t worried—the streets wake up around 7am with revving motorcycles and shouting voices.

At work I’m getting really into a project which I’m enjoying. My only real break yesterday was lunch. I almost decided to work through lunch, but I needed a brain break and was happy with the extra energy my rice, beans, and sacrificed cow served me. Really nothing to report on at work except that I got a fancy little Water for Good t-shirt for the upcoming events. And what’s better is that it’s an extra large. Back home I’m normally a medium, very rarely a large, but I guess here the sizes just run smaller so I get to be made to feel fat.

They are building a little car canopy at work. I don’t know if you can see it too well, but up on the frame are two guys, just sitting and standing on planks with no safety gear. I know labor is very cheap here, I guess the lack of occupational health laws helps that case.

I went for my run following work after much internal debate. My stomach wasn’t feeling too hot throughout the day and I was mentally tired, so I wanted to take the day off. Despite my woes I talked myself into running, which was the right decision. It’s such a nice way to clear and reset both my racing mind and sore/stiff body after a long day in a small office.
I’m embarrassed to say this for how much crap I’ve given people in the past, but I went to bed around 8:00pm last night. With nothing much to do, and tiredness starting to creep around that time, I found my best option was to read for a little bit and sack out.
Today, I’m hoping, will be similar to yesterday. I woke up early, maybe because I went to sleep early or maybe because on Fridays there are some pretty loud morning church services. I know visitors are supposed to start coming soon for the events this weekend and next week, if it wasn’t yesterday that they came. I’m excited for the busyness this weekend holds, but I’ll definitely enjoy today’s final relaxing day before the storm.
