Yesterday was a smooth day. I woke up at my regular hour. With my new haircut I’m finding that I have to battle it to look somewhat decent—in the mornings it wants to stand straight up on end. My solution is to wash it out, but the water is fairly frigid in the mornings and I haven’t been enjoying to cold showers to wake up.
Work was great. Except that one thing I had spent most Monday and Tuesday on need to be completely redone. Other than that I got a lot done with a report I’m writing and I’m learning a lot. Overall it was a boring day, but I’m starting to enjoy that.
After work there was an impromptu meeting. At 4:45pm I was told we had to go to a nearby hotel to meet with the guests who just arrived from the headquarter teams. It lasted about two hours (much longer than I had expected) and on the way home I requested to be dropped off at the restaurant where they make the good shish kebabs.
From there I took a nice stroll home in the dark. I was bummed to have missed my run, but maybe it was for the best. Today was an early morning; the WFG media team arrived two days ago and this weekend is going to be spent out in the field filming some short videos. I’m expecting a long day today, so I’m more than happy for the early night and extra sleep I got last night.
