Yesterday was super slow right up until when I should have been getting ready for bed, then we went out.
My early morning was spent doing a few chores. I woke up to some beautiful weather and decided that I had to take advantage of it. I did what little laundry I had. Next on my list was to clean the bathroom. That didn’t take too long though so I was finished with what chores I wanted to get done pretty quickly.
The rest of my day from maybe 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. was spent doing some job research and preparing for Ethiopia. The other boys were playing video games all day, so I was kept entertained by that whenever I needed a break. But overall, my family seems to take much needed rests whenever there are days with nothing to do. Around 7 I was told we going to have a dinner out.
Our dinner was at a place called Leon’s. I’d been there before with Pamela; it’s one of the nicer, but not touristy restaurants around the area. We had some lovely chips and chicken.
After dinner, Lucas wanted to go to a bar/club, but the family just wanted to go home. Luckily, I’m practicing saying “yes”, so Lucas took me along with him.
We spent about an hour in there just watching the live music. By the time we got home it was nearing midnight and I was drained. Today is going to be a bit rough. I didn’t sleep very well last night and we’re going back to school this morning for a meeting, so it’s not like I get the privilege of being lazy. Maybe it’ll pick me up a little bit, having something to do and places to be.
