DAY 87

Yesterday was a nice Easter. No egg hunts, no candy baskets, just church and a lazy day.

Easter Sunday Church

The morning started early early, and I was not expecting it. I was woken up at 6:00 a.m. and told to get ready for church. I had to drive us; the four sisters going along with me don’t drive and mama Edith was going to another church, so I was the only option (I think in part why they woke me up to go). I was pretty tired and didn’t have the same experience as before—my eyelids were heavy and I didn’t have the same introspective energy. I was happy when the service ended early. On the drive home we ran into some car troubles when Abby told me to take a route that was completely washed out. We got stuck for a few minutes, it wasn’t serious and we got out and home quickly.

The rest of the day for me was spent doing a little job searching, some hanging out, and a bit of napping. My buddies John and Jovin—once he got home from Serengeti with Lucas around 1—played video games all day.

I was bummed because a few of us wanted to watch a movie last night, but Jovin wouldn’t give up the video games. I went to bed pretty late and slept poorly, so I’m thinking today will be another slow one for me. But, we will see!
