Time is flying! As of yesterday I’ve crossed into only 3 weeks left. I’m a bit nervous to leave and start something new—I’ve become very comfortable here in Arusha. Yesterday I slept in for a while. I was very tired the night before, so it was much needed and thankfully there wasn’t any school! Friday and yesterday were the Muslim celebration of Eid, so I was able to use this to sleep in!
After waking up around 7, I spent most of the morning avoiding the church thing going on in the house. I’m not sure what it was, but I woke up to a choir of female voices and decided I best not intrude. I put some more time into building my website—this project of mine is really helping me to fill my free time these days. Around midday we went over to Ally’s place to celebrate Eid.

All of us went on foot, except for Jovin who brought his bike. It was a very calm holiday. The ladies cooked some good food while the guys played some video games. There were people coming and leaving throughout the day, but it normally stayed quiet in the house.

We were at Ally’s for nearly 6 hours, but I can’t say what we did. It was a lot of chatting and video games I guess.

This was the main crew (minus cameraman Ally). For an early dinner we had some pilau and veggie/fruit salad. We went home around 7. By the time we ate dinner at 9:30 and wound down, I was very tired. I don’t know how I was able to stay up so late just two months ago. These days when the clock strikes 9 my body lets me know it’s time to sleep. This morning I woke up too early for a Sunday.
