Sometimes it’s good to take a full on rest day. And that’s just what yesterday was—for the most part.
Sleeping in wasn’t on the agenda seeing as we had 6:00am church (which ended up being 7:00am church). I insisted on going, but after the four hour service in the open air building, with a brisk chill whooshing through the pews, I wished I had stayed home in bed. It was apparent that most of the other church goers had the same experience and learned from it, because there were about half the number of attendees as normal. It made for an eerie sort of atmosphere, especially with morning gloom hanging around a little too long.
After church finished we went back home, had some breakfast, I did laundry, and then took a big ol nap. I think I slept from about 11am to 2pm.

When I woke up I realized the day had passed me by, so I got right to what weekends are for: lounging around. Jovin and John were playing videos games, the girls were doing chores, so I split my time between doing some work on the couch and folding laundry.
Just when I thought the day was coming to an end, I was told that we had plans to go out for dinner. We went to a place in town called AIM MALL which truly was one of those old creatures that are slowly dying off. I can’t remember the last time I went to a mall, but this place brought back a hint of memory. It was the full on mix of play area for kids, a bunch of fancy stores, food courts and tacky little stands. I was surprised at the level of activity going on so late at night (8:30pm, so late by my standards and probably no one else’s) and it wasn’t helped by the wedding celebration taking place.
Dinner was good, but not quick. Lucas was very generous and ordered the 10 of us three rounds of chips and chicken until nobody could possibly eat any more. We hurried home from there, and made it back by around 11pm. I went straight to sleep, but still I don’t think I got enough of it because this morning I slept in and missed my favorite part of the day—the bus route:(.
