Yesterday was a really long day. I woke up in the morning prepared to go on the bus route, but my buddy Abi had left me behind. I was a bit bummed about it. In the end I tried to sleep some more but could never fall back asleep.
My work day was derailed a little bit because Pius kept whining about needing help in his classroom. So, I spent a couple hours of my day with my old pals in Class 7 reviewing some exams.
After school I managed to go with the bus route. I was almost left for the second time because I had forgotten my phone inside the school, so I was running to catch up with the bus as it pulled out of the school gate.
My evening run was a little delayed by some household activities, but I eventually snuck out of the chores. The weather has been so dry (and honestly pretty cold too) that the roads are super dusty and I think these camouflaged banana trees show just how bad it is.
I knew the day was going to be long because one of Lucas’ children was arriving home from six months abroad late in the evening. I waited until 10:00pm and then had to tell them to just wake me up when she arrived. I was lucky I did this because it was near midnight when I finally got woken up. Today I’m feeling a little tired because of the disturbed sleep, but nothing a little bus ride with 40 kids can’t help!
